8th INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF MOTORCYCLE STUDIES CONFERENCE and Art Exhibition
Chaffey College and the Wignall Museum of Contemporary Art

Chaffey College, situated in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains in Rancho Cucamonga, California will be hosting the 8th International Journal of Motorcycle Studies (IJMS) conference. IJMS is the only online, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to motorcycle culture. In addition to the regularly planned conference presentations, Chaffey’s Wignall Museum of Contemporary Art will open an exhibition on motorcycle culture with special programming at the conference. The exhibition will run through the Fall 2018 semester and include other public events such as artist talks and panel discussions on motorcycle culture, mobility, and gender. The academic conference will take place July 26th-28th, 2018. Chaffey College is just 37 miles east of Los Angeles, accessible via MetroLink as well as multiple freeways and airports (Ontario International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport).
Attendees and presenters may also be interested in riding the historical U.S. Route 66 which runs through Rancho Cucamonga, California, or exploring the scenic route up to Mount Baldy.
